Dear Mr. Car Vigilante

I was having a perfectly good morning. The sun was shining, I was on my bike, it was Friday, how could things get better? Well, I can tell you exactly how they get worse.

You see, some people think that they are perfect. They think they have the right to point out when you mess up or do something wrong, even when it is absolutely none of their business. Well, Mr. Car Vigilante, I can tell you right now: if you ever yell at me again, I will grab your car’s door frame, stick my head through your window, and tell you to FUCK OFF. Because guess what? You have probably blown through about 1000 times more redlights and stop signs then me, and just because there are cops out right now giving cyclists warnings, doesn’t mean you should take it upon yourself to start telling other people what to do. Because you never know who’s packing heat.

Oh, and since I’m in such a shit mood today: I received a simply LOVELY email from the OBRA list, where someone said that women only get into cycling because their boyfriends do. Oh.my.god. Yep that’s right: Women only do things our boyfriends do because we have no minds of our own, and we just follow men around like sheep. la dee fucking da.

UGH.

Hi Kristin! I am band new to PV and while reading forum trails stumbled across your website. Great idea, 21st century diary huh?!
Anyways, after reading and laughing quite hard at this log entry in particular I just had to say I hope today and everyday turns out to be better than July 25th!! After your second vent, I was fully expecting to read: “And another thing………” :)

Hey BTW, how does one go about getting a site like yours?

Hope to see you soon on a scheduled ride.

heh…yeah I could go on, but no sense in beating a dead horse. :)

If you want to set up a blog like this, I used wordpress, which is probably the most popular (free) blogging software. If you go to wordpress.org, and click “hosting”, you can find hosting that has “one-click” installs of wordpress (I installed it myself on my hosting service). That is, if you want your own domain name; or you can get it for free and have it hosted on their servers (it would end up being something like myblog.wordpress.com and might have ads on it). If you end up needing help or you want your own design, I do web design and programming ;)
