hm. One would think that will a Veloforma frame at stake, and given the fact I’m leading at BAR points for cat 4s, I would be chomping at the bit for this series. And I truly wish I were. However…
- Mt Tabor race is in the same week as Elkhorn. Good idea? Not too sure…
- Salem Fairview Circuit race is same day as the Livestrong ride, which I already signed up to volunteer at. Whoops
- High Desert Road Race is the same day as the Block Rock XTERRA, which I would really like to do.
I suppose there’s really only one definite “no” there. Unless I can somehow get out of volunteering, but I don’t really want to do that. I wonder if most people will do all the races? Maybe everyone will have to miss at least one, which is highly possible. I will just have to place really high at the ones I do race.
I’m actually hoping I upgrade by the time late August rolls around, so we’ll see how it goes. If I do really well, then that’s exactly what will happen. Too bad there wasn’t a Cat 4 women’s series in the spring, I would have won that already. Helps to constantly come in 6-8th place. No upgrading, but lots of points. This is key. Kind of ironic, no? I think 4th place might be the sweet spot.
