So I’ve decided to work out in the mornings so I can have a life outside of training and work.
This morning I did a 30 minute tempo ride on my trainer and then attempted to do one of the workouts that Heidi lists on her website, since today is supposed to be a “light” weight training day (ie, light weights, lots of reps). Also, my muscles haven’t been feeling very “confused” lately, so I felt I needed to start something new. So I did a variation that was supposed to include:
20 burpees
20 squats
1 minute plank
1 minute hand stand
20 lunges
Annnnnd repeat x4. Well first of all, I can’t do more then 10 burpees in a row. And that’s with girl pushups too. I know, I know, but I’m really bad at push ups… And vertical jumps (just ask Alex, he says I have the saddest vertical jump he’s ever seen). So you can imagine that I am horrible at burpees, which it why I should do them. Because they hurt. I was surprised at how easily I could hold plank, since it wasn’t very long ago when I remember not being able to hold it past 45 seconds, and of course, my version of a handstand is a sad imitation of the real thing (the last round I did a bridge instead because I couldn’t even do my little wall handstand anymore). Wow, this totally kicked my ass. I could barely shampoo my head. AWESOME.

Sweet!
You are an animal to throw the handstands in there. Ugh!
