Ride Report: the fall back ride

Since it wasn’t raining when I got out of work today (although it was pouring about 20 minutes earlier) I went for a long ride; there were actually stretches of sunshine! And then rain. And then sunshine! I rode from B-H Hwy, Capitol Hwy, Terilliger to downtown, down Harrison (does anyone know the best way to get to the waterfront from Terwilliger? Riding down 4th downtown is death to the bike) to the Hawthorne Bridge; up Salmon, up Mt Tabor, down Licoln, down Division and to the Sellwood Bridge via the Springwater corridor; home up thru the cemetary and back down Terwilliger. All in all a great 25 mile, in city, medium-ish ride. It took longer then I thought (almost 2 hours) just because of all the many stop signs and signals. I ended up riding back partly in the dark without a front light on which I did not enjoy.
